Jun 10, 2009 by Brett G | Posted in Motorcycle Racing
I saw the reviews for the whistler radar system and it didn't look that good and the price is 200. Does anyone have a radar on their sport bike or motorcycle that has always worked for you???? If so help me out here thanks
Why would you need a rader detector whilst you are racing on the track ?
There is no spped limits.
Maybe the Transport section might be better for your answers. You will find a Motorcycle section there for road based questions.

Motorcycle Radar Detector?
Apr 24, 2009 by David P | Posted in Motorcycle Racing
Hi:
I just recently bought a Honda CBR 600RR I'm hopeing someone can give me some advice in a Radar Detector for my bike??? I have a Escort Passport 8500 X50. I think it works great.
Should I buy one that is for motorcycles ( if so which one is good?) or just a mounting bracket for the one I have.
Thanks!
I dont know the 8500 X50 so cant really compare. But the Road Angel plus is a fantastic bit of kit.

You need the extension sensor for bikes as your body gets in the way of the rear sensor (works for unmarked Bikes & Cars coming up behind you. Helps when you know the police are using Hayabusa's now. The Road Angel also informs you of Blackspots, Schools, Railway crossings, Fixed Cameras, Hand held lasers, Average speed area's and Congestion (though that doesnt matter on a bike.) They do a Sat Nav version But I dont think it has a laser detector in it.
Sounds strange But I have slowed down since I got mine. I wouldnt be without it now.

Whistler Cruisader Motorcycle Radar Detector with POP Detection
by admin
Cruisader Whistler Motorcycle Radar Detector Detection with POP bought this radar detector for my Harley Avenue Monarch. I was looking for a detector that I could put up on the bike with fewer weapons on display. I am not an Orthodox poverty seeks detector mounted on the handlebars. And I certainly did not thirst that could probably be deleted or stolen.
The Cruisader Whistler seemed to fit the bill. However, there was little comment about it. So I'm never going to get some plot from my point of view.
I took about 4 hours unalloyed to install the system. I encountered a few snags, but was a follower without difficulty interpreting a workaround. The major part is installed on the handlebars within a mile of the center. I tried some strange areas and liked that highlights the rich. I buy a May determine the protection to the out-and-out piece of prison and thus the element scold a little.
The sensor is installed in the headlights reasonable. I used the rod that holds the center level edge restriction. I had to auger the dungeon a bit (first problem). The airflow skilled in this seat.It is hidden and not more noticeable.
I mounted the laser sensor to grow to allow the mantle. Of all the songs I like this medium less. I can see in the distance by fashioning a frame exceed the fingers on the chess piece. Of note, I found a picture that said erect over laser sensor was too Vest-Pocket. This is absurd. The wire of this sensor is 3 meters, the Cavendish is an additional segment of 3 feet. I gently winding around the plugs and connected up under the house with plenty of extra features.
I wired the entire component to the battery, but I pattern should be held back and thread it into the electrical system. In this way, the system turns on and off the ignition.
The son far passed under the dashboard Monarch approach and most connections were made under the place. There is only one non-original court that threatens the neck of the motorcycle where the son is exposed, and they are obviously not covered with wire cover....
