I just want to know how the Police set-and-forget radar car works. I've been told that the camera can pick up the front of the car and the back of the car. But which one is true?
Both are true plus the speed is recorded on a computer.

A radar detector simply detects the presence of the frequencies used by traffic radar sets. Increasingly they are detecting the signals of collision avoidance and intelligent cruise controls, so there are more false positives than before. Laser tends to be instant on, point and shoot operation. A radar jammer is illegal to possess, and will net you federal jail time if caught trying to use one. Consumer level jammers also do not work, so it is pretty dumb going to jail for trying to use one.
