Alpine Tweeter Speakers - Car Speakers

How can I hook up a 4 ohm tweeter along with a 4 ohm coaxial speaker and keep the 4 ohm load?

I purchased a set of 6 3/4" Alpine speakers (4 ohm)for my front doors. Low and behold the tweeters weren't providing enough "tweet" to satisfy. So I purchased a set of Alpine Tweeters (also 4 ohm) to add the front channels. It seems there is noway to just wire it anyway because either scheme would end up in an 8 or 2 ohm load. Please help!!!

Thank you in advance!!
The tweeters came with crossovers built in, btw. They came packaged with as stand alone tweeters. (Alpine SPS1005)
Ohhh I just check out my amp and it lists 2 ohm load power ratings. Now I wonder if I should just get another set of tweets and do the rears the same way? Will my coaxial speakers be able to handle the 2 ohm load or does that just matter with the amp?

Just use a passive high-pass crossover (which you should be doing with any tweeter system anyway) and wire the speakers in parallel. A crossover presents a very high impedance to frequencies below its crossover point, so for those frequencies, the total impedance remains close to the 4 ohms of the 6 3/4" speaker. Technically the higher frequencies above the crossover point will still present a 2-ohm load, but a relatively small amount of power is required for the high frequency drivers, so it won't cause a problem for the head unit.

To sum up, as long as you use the right crossover with the tweeters, you shouldn't run into any impedance problems with the head unit.

Impedance is measured at a certain frequency. Is there a crossover on the tweeter? If so, the load will drop to 2 ohms above the crossover frequency, and remain at 4 below it. You'll probably be alright with this setup, but I'd be careful. A set of component speakers would be a much better investment, then you could have a nominal 4 ohm load at all frequencies

Is there a way for tweeters and newer Alpine car speakers to coexist?

I have a 2005 Nissan Altima 2.5S. I recently swapped out the stock stereo system with a Pioneer DEH-P3000IB head unit, Alpine SPS-17C2 (6.5) speakers in the front, and Alpine SPS-69C2 (6X9) in the rear. The new system sounds much better than the stock system.

My car comes with front pillar tweeters, and the factory wiring has the front speakers wired in parallel. Alpine warns that having an external tweeter wired in parallel with its speakers will damage its speaker's tweeter. I am interested in finding out if there is a way to have the front pillar tweeters and the front speakers coexist.
I have the tweeters disconnected for now.
The user manual for the SPS-17C2 speaker is below

The warning about the tweeter is on page 8.
My bad, the warning about the tweeters is actually on page 7.

I'd say keep it the way it is if it sounds good to you. Do you really need that extra tweeters? Or you can take a chance and just hook up the tweeters in parallel with the 6.5's and see what happens.

I'm not sure what the factory is talking about, but when you parallel the speakers and the tweeters the impedance at the frequency range of the tweeter becomes less than 4 ohms. It becomes 2 ohms for that frequency range.

If your tweeters on the pillar is a piezoelectric type, it may not matter, from what I recall (don't quote me on this one--it's been a while). They have much higher impedance that it is negligible.

If your total impedance becomes less due to paralleling drivers, that shouldn't hurt the speakers, but rather it may over work the amp if the amp can not tolerate 2 ohm loads.

Are you sure it said that the tweeters will be damaged and not the amp?

Yes, you can renew tweeters honest even if it would be to raise does surpassing components as well. Do not type tweeters but a variation of mammoth. im not wise to the enclosure to house the tweeters in May, but you have something that corresponds to the determination of irritating there to replace them. i taste pesonally JL Audio and thats what I run in my Scion tC. I have 2 sets of tweeters JL, and they are incredibly showy. When I replaced mine I was appropriate that I tweeters (Alpine Class X) have the strength to force carats in anchors molded into the door.If you can find a tweeter business subtle resemble an estimate of you might have the talent to do the same. If you nostalgic to replace the components before, as a whole, I argue that speakers Alpine XI Quintessence old demagogue is a very good and can often be found on ebay cheaply charming even if it would be under the application of discourse about them.
