I wanna put 10 6x9 alpine speakers in my car do I need a amp or capacitor or anything to run them? No subs just the 10 6x9 two 5 1/2's cd player & maybe some tweeters
You would need two 4-channel and one 2-channel amplifiers all matching the watts RMS of the speakers just for the 6 X 9s alone.
If you tried to wire them all to the head unit, you would either blow out the finals or greatly diminish the power to each one as the power will get divided between them all depending on how you wired them. Five 4 ohm speakers (Five each side) in parallel is a 0.8 ohm load and will definately burn out the CD player.

curious as to why you would want to use 10 6x9's & what type of car do you have to where they would fit??

you dont need an amp if you just want to make them play music, if you are wanting them to be extremely loud then an amp would be wise but you can just take out the other speakers and re wire the back speaker connections to the new speakers and it should only take about 20 mins max

How do I take out rear 6X9 speakers on my car?
Mar 13, 2008 by isanythingeverreally | Posted in Car Audio
My car is a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix SE. I cant figure out how to get the speakers out. I also have new 6X9's i want to install, but they arent the same hookups as the factory speakers. Do I not have something I need? Please Help, thanks.
take out the bottom back seat, then the upper back seat. there will be 4 bolts holding it in. lift straight up on the seat it might be alittle tight getting it out. The you will have to take out those two black plastic plug looking things i just cut mine you will find that to be the easiest way to get them out. you wont need them any more, I didnt. Then you have to work the cover out its kind of a pain to get out but once you get it loose you will see how it comes out. very easy, then unbolt your 6x9's out new in hook up with either a wire adaptor from circuit city or best buy, they are around 11.99 i think I just did it to my 2000 GTP so thats how i found it to be the easiest way. and you do not have to take off your trunk lid so you will be wasting your time......

In my large closet; which I cleaned out a while ago and has been empty for a long time. A lot of retro audio components in here. I made the studio monitors myself out of 3/4 inch MDF; they are very heavy; separate chambers for the drivers. Some video components, too. Like the high-end 80s...
Very retro in every way; well, except for the DVD recorder. I made the monitors myself for my pick-up; but they are the exact dimension for studio monitors and they are very solid made out of 3/4 inch medium density fiberboard. I have found the better term I was looking for; listening...
Keyboard range is from C2 to C7. Can;t play Fur Elise all the way on it. Highs or lows. Loudspeaker enclosures are of 3/4 inch MDF and are very heavy. Pioneer and Lightning Audio 3-way 6x9 speaker drivers.I made the boxes.
Cannot fully run this system; there is not enough power available in the barn for all this. I can just run the main channels with no subwoofer (Pyle PL1890BL 18 inch) if the projector is on. I have car audio 6x9s here; Marantz 2235 amp; Nikko TRM-800; Realistic STA-240 amps; an 8 foot wide...
I got these in the flea market at the 2009 49th annual pageant of steam in Hopewell/Canandaigua New York.
