I have a 65' Impala. Can i run a power wire to the battery, and hook up the speakers will it work?

Its a old car, so it has a few wires. But i dont know how to really hook it up.
the speakers do not hook up to the battery, in a conventional system they hook up to the radio/stereo. if you have a more elaborate system they hook up to the amplifier. be certain what you are doing with this,or have someone familiar do it, it's a simple operation, but hooking wires up wrong can fry your electrical system, and even cause fire.
racer 123 is.....unbelievable, don't even try to follow that stuff, it has absolutely nothing to do with your question.

Well speakers are hooked to power, but it's a different kind of power. You hook a speaker to a car battery, and your gonna have a lot of smoke for a short period of time. If you got a standard 2 channel stereo, your gonna have a positive and negative wire for 2 speakers. These would usually mount in the dash or one in each door. A four channel stereo is gonna have the above listed wires, difference being now you can have front and rear speakers. Some stereos will also come Sub-woofer leads. A word from the wise if your running just a stereo, don't expect to power high end expensive speakers. Just the same as don't buy even a mid range stereo and expect good sound from stock speakers. You basically have to build a system to your taste. start with your BUDGET. Don't mismatch a bunch of stuff. Buy your deck to match your speakers, or buy your deck to match an amplifier to match your speakers. Good Luck...........

NEW WINDSOR — In Stride of 1965, a young Army main named Bill Larkin found himself in Alabama.
His chore — along with thousands of other soldiers, Nationalistic Guard members and FBI agents — was to watch over a march in support of voting rights from Selma to Montgomery.
And unbiased before the marchers stepped off on their 50-and mile route, Larkin met the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther Ruler Jr.
"I looked directly at him, he looked later on at me," Larkin recalled. "He shook my manual labourer and said, 'God bless you. We're praying we have a celebrated march.'" It was his only exchange with Majesty.
It was crucial that this march go well. A first attempt at a hike two weeks earlier — in which Crowned head did not participate — ended in bloodthirstiness when state and local police attacked the marchers — a confrontation that became known as "Bloody Sunday."
