6 34 Inches Speakers - Car Speakers

i have a problem with my front speakers coming in and out from reg. tone to high tone.?

i have 2 amps running my system that i pieced together my-self.1 x-plore x-over for my sub 12"infinity, and 1 v-power alpine 4/3/2 channel amp mrp f200 for my fronts and backs. i get a high piched tone from my fronts at times then back to regular sound at others. nothing particular as music goes just happens. the people that installed it said they dont know y.now my sub wires r also connected to my alpine as well as th x-plore and have no control either way for the sub from the alpine. now i have no distortion until my sub realy kicks in and im at a volume of 28 or above my max is 34.thats for my fronts tho. my rear speakers are fine and there duals from target as were my fronts are sony explodes 6 inch. i wanna get my fronts crystal clear as my backs r and now it can be done cause they come in clear during my in and out fases. the people that hook them up suck !!! plz help me figure it out even if it means i have to reconnect every thing in the car!!!!

Do you get the sound only if the engine is running? or is it just random. I'm thinking it could be an alternator whine that your hearing. How is the alpine grounded? to the chassis or the - side of the Battery?

If I were you I would run it like this:

Alpine amp in 4 mode---->to all seperates (front and rear)
Other amp--------------->to sub only
Crossover (4 channel)---->to Alpine4's input signals (rca's)
Head unit--------------->Rca's to crossover for mids and highs and directly to the Sub amp in the back for lows.

Be sure to run your power wires on the opposite side of your car from your RCA lines to avoid interference (ex: power and ground on drivers side and rca's on Pass side).
You should tune your system to just sounding clean (not bass heavy)with all of the head units and crossovers levels set at no gain (neutral).

Pick a boring CD with good acoustics (ie:"Green Day") and tweak the crossover and the gain on the Alpine until it sounds good (clean). Then leave the crossover and Alpine alone. Then go back to your sub amp and turn to gain to 3/4 max and leave it alone. Now you should be able to cruise and adjust anything you dont like or want more of (Bass)directly from your headunit without ever having to touch the amps again.

You did'nt say if you have a Stock or aftermarket Head unit, to run that much equipment effectively you definatly need to get a aftermarket one. This way your head unit will be able to filter the sub for you and you wont need a seperate crossover for the sub amp.

Help Car audio enthusiast Need some HIGH power component speakers that can handle alot of power and sound good

Im at a lost.They just dont make them like they use to.This question is for someone who knows there stuff.I am 34 years old.I use to own my own car audio shop.My problem is Ive been out of the game awhile.Im looking for a component (seperates) system 6.5 inch and 5 1/4 inch that can handle more than 100watts rms.Looking for a competition sound/spl.Anyone have any suggestions.I have alpines right now type r....sound great,but I need louder.In the past I have won 2 competitions in my wattage division.So that gives you an idea what Im looking for.They just dont make them like they use to :(
Thanks for input...thanks for that link I will check it out....I agree the kappa series use to be great...Im not sure if they are still and I like jl as well.I will look into it.Thanks anyone else?

Blah Blah Blah Infinity, blah blah blah. Any car audio enthusiast past or present should not consider Infinity's current line of products. The tweeters are cheap and screechy little monsters that are designed to jump out at you on a sound board and appear to be better, louder and more efficient when demonstrated to customers. Further, power handling is more than just a claim on the outside of a box. There is no technology or design charecteristic in use in any of their current car audio products that allows them to handle more than average power.
But thanks for your guess anyway.

Oh, yeah, until you get to their ZR series components, JL has some sissy little ratings that this cat will not be impressed with. The ZRs are rated up to 125 watts RMS, but at $1000 a pair? For those? Are they serious?

Oversized edge wound voice coil of the Diamond Audio products, particularly the D971s are impressive. They are rated to handle 200 watts. Their more affordable D6 series uses standard sized stuff sadly. So unless your budget is huge and you have a sawzall to get these into your 5.25 and 6.5 holes, that info is probably totally meaningless.

The Pioneer TSC720PRS components may fit your needs in the 6.5. I am not sure off the top of my head what are their rating, but they have an oversized voice coil and a substantial size/structure to the speaker's basket lead me to believe that they will handle some juice.

Personally, on a budget, I have found that Polk Audio's Momo components are impressive. With their textured carbon fiber cones, they are capable of dissipating an enormous amount of cone surface distortion. There is a unique crossover layout that raises the x/o point under distortion to avoid blowing up tweeters at carelessly high output levels. For years (literally 8!) I have used Momo components in my personal vehicles always with 1.5-2 times the manufacturer's RMS rating with almost no failures and LOTS of overall volume capabilities with better than acceptable tonal accuracy/response

While we are speaking of Polks, It appears that their SR components are made in the same plant as the Pioneers I mention above. They also would appear to handle big power, but I do not have the experience with them to make such a recomendation as you are looking for. Dainty little neo magnet on the back looks a little girly for a flagship speaker, but hey, I like girls, why shouldn't the SRs? Oh, wait, I don't look girly...

God luck.

Laws looks good, plays great in Marauder win

WATERLOO (Jan 21, 2010)

It was a whole new look and a better final result for Scott Laws of the McMaster Marauders.

The second-year guard from Gormley, Ont., got his long, curly red hair cut short for last night's OUA men's basketball game against the Laurier Golden Hawks.

It seemed to make a difference, too, because he scored 14 points -- his season average was 7.9 -- in helping the Marauders to an 80-72 victory at the Athletic Complex.

"He chopped three inches off his height," Mac coach Joe Raso said. "We always give him the toughest defensive assignment. Tonight, he went hard to the basket."

In addition to Laws, Mac (7-6) got a solid performance from rookie Victor Raso, who drained three three-point shots in the fourth quarter and hustled to set up several other baskets.

The coach's son finished with 11 points and five rebounds.

"Victor works really hard," Raso said. "It's a credit to all the club coaches he's had. He's been watching and learning for a long time. He has a good feel for the game."

Sony XSGT1626A 6-1/2-Inch Coaxial 2-way Speakers

I could still see the low, even hold up over two floors with 3-way 6 x 9s and a 10 "sub in the trunk.

I l '(80w) 6 × 9s in the same 45W main module and sub 500w refused to answer even if, so that in all probability, made a quarrel with my understanding.

In any licensee, they have Mark Wise caring for 40w speakers. Solder your connections and they cry cute.
