Does anybody know of any way to negate the noise of loud bass cars and houses?

If you live in a community that is having this problem please post answers to ways that your community is dealing with this issues. Thanks.
Take the matter up with your local City Council.
If enough tax paying citizens complain, you might make a difference. Who knows, it might result in some stricter restrictions/ordinances, especially within the city limits.

How do the people driving cars with super loud "doof doof" music stand the bass???

I sometimes hear people driving cars by my house going "doof doof doof". The bass is so loud you can hear it a mile away. But how do the people in the car actually stand the bass because the whole car must be shaking like mad!???
the loud noise that you hear in your car next to the loud car is mostly vibrations... for the person in the car with the music the full effect of a subwoofer isn't really heard it is felt. thats not to say ofcourse that his mids and tweeters aren't blasting either, but they are much more difficult to hear in the car next to them. but to actually be in a stereo car with a really nice set up and be able to hear and feel the music without distortion is a unique experience, as long as the person that designed the system covers the details...
