i just installed a POWER ACOUSTIK vv in my car. the screen will not come on because of brake safty wire?

i just installed a POWER ACOUSTIK PTID-4007 RAZOR 3.6" LCD CD/DVD Player in my car. the screen will not come on inless the car is in park. i was wounderin is there anyway around that. i was thinkin about installing a toggle switch, but how would i go about doin that.
or what other way can i run the brake safety wire. u have to be in park then it will come one. i was wounderin if there was anyway to bypass that like by running a toggle switch or any other way and how would i do so

I used to bypass the screen safety features for my friends, until one of them had a wreck and lost his right foot.
He said he was watching the screen instead of traffic, looked up and traffic was stopped. He swerved and went down a hill and hit the concrete pillar on an overpass at about 60MPH.
He dosen't blame me, but I feel bad about it. His screen was 6.5", easy to see... Your 3.6" screen would require at least a solid second more to adjust to, and while you are concentrating on that small screen, there is no way you can see the road.
If someone hits me or someone I love because they were watching TV, I will remove their eyes with my car key.

Watch DVD's while driving on a Power Acoustik PTID-7350N?

I have a Pioneer Avic unit in my car, and when I put it in I did the hack on it that lets you watch the DVD's while driving, and I found out how to do it on a Avic Forum. My brother just got a Power Acoustik PTID-7350N for his car and would like to do the same. I've searched for the hack for it and only found one that someone is selling on ebay. Anyone know how to do it? Or know where to find it? I'll assume, like mine it consists partially of grounding the brake wire, but not sure if there's more to it. Thanks

Yeah on the Pioneer units they usually have a tilt sensor inside so that is why it takes more of a "hack" on the PA unit you should just have to ground the brake wire, i know they use to have "code" to put in that worked as well not sure if they still have those on the newer models or not.
