What file type is the music on a cd that you would play in your "non mp3" car player?
I have some mp3 files that I want to burn onto a cd through iTunes or something like that so I can play the cd on my car's cd player. It is NOT a mp3 player. What should I convert the mp3 file to so it will play in my car?
you don't need to convert the files. you just need to make sure you are burning an "Audio CD".
i believe in itunes you can do this under "Preferences". i do not know what version you have, but on mine, you got to "Edit", than to "Preferences", and then select the tab called "Advanced". where it says "Disc Format", just make sure "Audio CD" is selected instead of "MP3 CD" or "Data CD".
If "Audio CD" is selected, it means you are burning a standard CD. If either of the other 2 options are selected, it means you are burning a disc to be played in a computer (Data CD) or a player that reads MP3s (MP3 CD). hope that helps, happy burning!
